What is Assistive Technology?

Assistive technology (AT) is a generic term that includes assistive, adaptive, and rehabilitative devices for people with disabilities and includes the process used in selecting, locating, and using them. Technology meant to provide help in performing a task, whether general or specific. Assistive technology for the web includes braille keyboards, audio browsers which read web pages, or alternative entry devices such as a mouth-stick.

Technology that enables people who are blind or visually impaired to more easily access computers and the Internet.

Students with special needs are entitled to a free and appropriate public education (FAPE). Where deemed appropriate, the use of assistive technology in the educational setting, increases the potential for a student to succeed in independent living and to engage in productive employment. Federal legislation defines assistive technology as “any item, piece of equipment, or product system…that is used to increase, maintain, or improve functional capacities of individuals with disabilities.”

The Technology Related Assistance for Individuals with Disabilities Act of 1988, also known as the “Tech Act”, provided federal funds to states to develop training and delivery systems for assistive technology. Ten years later the act was amended, affirming that assistive technology is a valuable tool. Funding was extended to all the states and six territories to develop permanent, statewide programs of technology.

Assistive technology has been provided for students identified under any of the handicapping conditions; it’s not limited to just one or two disabilities. The Committee on Special Education (CSE) must determine if there is a need for assistive technology, which covers a broad spectrum of devices. In many cases, an occupational therapist is the person identified to implement assistive technology goals as outlined in the Individualized Educational Plan (IEP). The following identifies the devices that are commonly used in the school setting.

Adaptive computing.

There are several options in adapting a computer for a student’s use. For a student who can’t maneuver a mouse, a joystick might be used. If he has a hard time with a regular keyboard, it might be replaced with an expanded keyboard. For a student with very limited mobility, a voice activated program might be installed on the computer. For the visually impaired, a larger screen or software that enlarges a portion of the screen might be tried.

Augmentative communication.

To help a student produce and/or understand speech, an augmentative communication device should be listed on the child’s IEP. Examples of such a device include a picture board, speech synthesizer, or a tape recorder. A student who isn’t physically able to write, can dictate his answers for worksheets into a tape recorder or a voice activated computerized program.

Computer technology.

A wide range of computer technology is readily available for students who struggle with reading, writing or spelling. For students identified as learning disabled (LD) in reading, a program can be installed that will read textbooks aloud to the students. For those identified as LD in writing, spell check is a wonderful device, as well as organizational software.

The cost of assistive technology can sometimes be very costly. In some cases, Medicaid will cover the expense. If a student moves from one school district to another, the previous district might be willing to sell the device at a portion of the cost. Some counties have “loan closets” where you can sign out a device and use it for free.

With the use of appropriate assistive technology, a student with special needs can enjoy an improved quality of life. He will have a better opportunity to succeed in independent living and to prepare for the working world.

Assistive technology is technology used by individuals with disabilities in order to perform functions that might otherwise be difficult or impossible. Assistive technology can include mobility devices such as walkers and wheelchairs, as well as hardware, software, and peripherals that assist people with disabilities in accessing computers or other information technologies. For example, people with limited hand function may use a keyboard with large keys or a special mouse to operate a computer, people who are blind may use software that reads text on the screen in a computer-generated voice, people with low vision may use software that enlarges screen content, people who are deaf may use a TTY (text telephone), or people with speech impairments may use a device that speaks out loud as they enter text via a keyboard.

       Technology intervention in Organization Development

The Internet, email, and Web conferencing tools have created the capacity for collaborating across time and space both within and between organizations. Just as technology has transformed the organizational environment, it’s also transforming the field of Organization Development (OD).

Currently, there are three widely recognized applications of technology in OD:

1. Quantitative, database assessment tools, such as employee surveys and 360-degree feedback

2.Communications and teamwork, including document management and information sharing

3. Management and employee development, including online training.

OD practitioners increasingly use technology in their work every day. But, whereas most technologies applied to OD are used for one-way communication, data collection, or individual mentoring or training, we need new generation of interventions that use technology to facilitate “whole system” collaboration and organizational change.

Evolution of new Technologies

Currently, technologies are available that extend beyond normal correspondence and simple data collection to facilitate online collaboration, community building, collaborative learning, and the sharing of best practices on a global scale. New uses for such emerging technologies by OD practitioners hold the promise of becoming an integral part of the dynamic organizational change process itself.

The evolution of collaborative technologies such as portals, online discussion groups, real-time chat and webcasts (transmission of linear audio or video content over the Internet) have provided valuable capabilities that promote the organization development mission of whole system collaboration.

Portal technology offers a wide variety of tools for the OD professionals to promote increased organizational effectiveness, enable open communication and knowledge sharing and deliver multi-dimensional organizational change efforts. Properly implemented portals knit together disparate business applications and, in effect, present a composite application tailored to the role of the user in the organization. By presenting business tools, data and content to users via an easy-to-use, personalized interface, portals support the primary OD goals of increased organizational effectiveness and performance. Used in combination with content management systems, portals also become valuable communication and knowledge-sharing vehicles by presenting online content filtered by the language, geography or role of the user. Best practices, compliance information and strategic content can be pushed simultaneously to geographically diverse internal and external (customers, partners, suppliers) audiences. The top portal vendors also integrate search capability into their products, allowing users to search for the content that meets their needs. Prior to the advent of portal technologies, organizations were restricted to a “one size fits all” approach to pushing applications and content to employees. Portals allow the creation of a user experience that is tailored to the employee’s demographics.

Online discussion groups, weblogs offer users the ability to post questions, comments and general information at a central online location. These types of forums are particularly well suited for the ongoing, system-wide communication required during large organizational change efforts. Typically, these discussion forums are created to focus on topics related to specific training programs, practice areas or operational best practices. The questions or comments posted can be directed toward specific experts, facilitators or to the general group membership, creating an open, collaborative process. These online discussions can take place over a period of weeks rather than minutes. The content of the discussions can be made searchable and becomes part of the organization’s knowledge base for future reference. When delivered through portal technology, links to specific discussion forums can be made available to individuals based on their demographics.

Instant messaging and online chats offer organizations a much more immediate form of real-time collaboration than asynchronous online discussion groups. Most enterprise instant messaging applications now allow users to form real-time instant group chats by pulling multiple users into an online discussion as needed. Users can also share content (documents, slides, graphics) during their chats to facilitate understanding. Instant messaging technology is particularly useful when immediate information exchange is required (customer service, call center, etc.) by a small number of users.

For larger audiences, scheduled online chats are effective vehicles for mass interactive communication. Executives and subject-matter experts can communicate to mass audiences and answer questions on the fly regardless of geography through scheduled chat sessions. Participation in the chats is usually voluntary and users also have the ability to join the chats anonymously, which promotes open, informal and candid discussion. Online chat sessions are increasingly being used in OD efforts that involve large-scale organizational change and require frequent mass communication. The contents of both instant message sessions and scheduled online chats can be saved and made searchable for future reference. Prior to these chat technologies, interactive conversations would require conference calls, real-time office visits and herding masses of people into meeting rooms for live face-to-face dialogue. Although the online collaborative applications have not replaced more traditional live meetings, they have presented viable alternatives that augment the efforts of OD professionals and lead to increased organizational effectiveness.

Webcasts and Podcasts are examples of Online audio/video technologies becoming mainstream tools OD professionals use to disseminate information quickly and efficiently. Live training or informational events are often shared organization-wide via webcasts and recorded for later use. Audio or video combined with many of the newer e-learning authoring tools allows other content (slides, text, graphics) to be displayed along with the video or audio for a media-rich user experience. The newest of the online audio/video technologies are podcasts, which combine the standard recorded webcast with “publish/subscribe” functionality. Publish/subscribe functionality allows the user to subscribe to specific subject areas and have the content automatically pushed to their computer or MP3 player whenever new content is available. The user can then view or listen to the content whenever his or her schedule allows. Although podcasts are not yet widely used in organizational communication, their popularity in the public domain is a glimpse of the potential of this evolving medium. Previous to the use of the online audio/video technologies, organizations would distribute videotaped content via mail to all their far-flung locations. Employees would view the video individually or congregate in meeting rooms to watch the video presentations.

Benefits

OD approaches that embrace technology as an integrated component of the strategic change process itself can

enable whole system participation.

With hurdles like travel costs and time zone issues greatly lessened through technology, bringing the whole organizational system into the room–employees, partners, customers, and so forth is made possible. Ideas, opinions and issues from all stakeholder groups can be shared and considered in a collective forum virtually and in connection with face-to-face meetings.

rapidly align dispersed stakeholders.

Creating alignment between stakeholders who are located across the country or the globe can take months or years. By blending face-to-face participation with an inclusive virtual participation process, stakeholders can be brought together in productive ways that decrease the time it takes to reach an agreement.

accelerate organizational readiness.

Inviting the whole system to participate in the change process enhances communication, fosters buy-in and establishes a level of readiness for change that traditional communications plans cannot easily achieve.

produce higher quality strategies and plans.

Through obtaining direct input from both a horizontal and vertical slice of the organization, as well as partners, customers, and other stakeholder groups, more robust ideas and work products can be produced.

foster collaborative learning and knowledge sharing.

By linking together stakeholders that would not otherwise connect and communicate, it becomes possible to harness learning and knowledge in ways that surface and diffuse best practices, which leads to a greater capacity for innovation and organizational agility.

Getting started

Integrating technology into OD interventions can open the door to new opportunities for engaging teams, workgroups, organizations, partners, and customers in collaborative change processes. But where do you start? Here are some tips that may help.

Assess the need.

Determine if the needed intervention would be advanced through engaging stakeholders that cannot be in the room.

Determine readiness.

To be successful, an organization must embrace the potential value of using technology to support the process. Determine the readiness of the client system to explore new ways of working.

Gauge the fit.

Select technologies that fit the desired intervention. Know when you’re looking for divergent vs. convergent thinking, qualitative vs. quantitative input, individual vs. group contributions, and so on, and choose the tools that support the lifecycle stage of the process.

Make the business case.

While there are costs associated with applying technology, using technology can also reduce travel costs, save time, and accelerate the change process. Defining the ROI (return-on-investment) of using technology helps garner support for new approaches.

Define integration points.

OD interventions that involve technology also typically include face-to-face meetings. Look for ways to use technology prior to, during, and after meetings to support group and organizational goals.

Engage the early adopters.

Identify individuals who are predisposed to embrace technology as part of the process in order to create early wins that create proof points for the new approach.

Tell success stories.

Even small successes can be used as stories to energize the organization and inspire others to participate through the new tools and approaches.

Technology in OD is here to stay. More and more, OD interventions will include collaborative technology as a core enabler of the change process. As OD practitioners apply these tools to their work, especially when they enable whole system change, new expectations within organizations are established. Once people experience the possibilities associated with incorporating the voices of a larger collective in ways that increase participation, accelerate change, and deliver higher quality results, the value of these collaborative technologies are established and the organization’s desired future draws nearer.

Wingsuit BASE jumping is one of the most extreme and dangerous sports out there. With its mechanics similar to those of a flying squirrel, a wingsuit jumper has an average forward speed of 100 mph – that’s 146 feet per second and would clear a football field in under 2.5 seconds. Participants must carefully prepare for their jump keeping in mind that though they will fly through the air like a bird, they are falling towards the earth at around 50 mph. This is like jumping off the Empire State Building and hitting the street below in less than 20 seconds. With the risk of death being 1 in every 2,300 jumps and injury being 1 in every 254 jumps, BASE jumping is even more risky than skydiving. Wingsuit jumpers know that planning and having a proven system in place prevents mistakes and is a necessary part of their safety precautions.

Similar principles hold true when you’re deploying technology at multiple sites at an accelerated rate. The importance of speed and accuracy in completing your category 1 (one day or less) technology deployment are comparable to wingsuit BASE jumping. Without accuracy and a carefully calculated speed, a wingsuit jumper risks injury or death, just as the technology deployment may fall short of your expectations and you may suffer the injury of missed scheduled dates, revisits, unprofessional and unskilled technicians or the fatality of damaging your hard-earned reputation.

          ]]>

Just like a checklist for the wingsuit jumper of checking all straps and zippers, the Technology Rollout Company must follow its own checklist to ensure their processes for the category 1 rollout are most efficient. Below is a brief example of preparations the Technology Rollout Company must make to ensure various factors do not impact the technology rollout deployment at each site for an accelerated multi-site project.

Day prior to technology deployment:

Email POC confirming scheduled appointment
Email or call local partner confirming that the tech(s) is scheduled and obtain the tech’s information
Confirm all materials and that the equipment is ready

Day of technology deployment utilizing the Direct Tech Communication Channel:

Confirm tech(s) is dispatched to site
Alert POC of arrival time of tech(s)
Monitor, support and manage tech(s) at site
Rate the tech’s performance for deployment (technical, professional, etc.)
Site POC acceptance
Audit order completion
Close out order

When searching for a Technology Rollout Company for your category 1 technology deployments, keep in mind the wingsuit jumper. The amount of time and effort that goes into a successful BASE jump and the considerations prior to the jump are comparable to the same level of effort that must be done before your accelerated technology rollout. The right preparations and planning for the rollout can avoid the injury or fatality that can happen to your project.

Article by Andrea Goeglein PhD, Dr. Success

â??What good is having forgiveness as a natural strength? I need you to help me find ways to make money, not suggest ways to help me enter the monastery.â??

When a client made that statement in 2004, I laughed, but I understood his confusion. He had come to me attempting to find solutions to his failing business and explore ways to rebuild his life and his career. I insisted he take a statistically valid survey which would indicate his top five natural character strengths. From there, I told him we would determine what businesses he was best suited to pursue. He was skeptical, but desperate, so he completed the survey.

Upon receiving the results his skepticism turned to near outrage. It was only the bond of our long-standing consulting relationship that allowed me to explain. Again, I knew why he was so confused.

Look at the course catalogue of any university offering a business curriculum. I bet you will not find many â?? or any â?? that offer courses in forgiveness. Forgiveness is not a subject generally taught in business school â?? or any school — other than those with a theological basis. I contend itâ??s high time for that to change. In fact, I contend that forgiveness is the key to business success.

Forgiveness as defined by the research that backs the strengths survey my client took is: â??â?¦a suite of prosocial changes that occur within an individual who has been offended or damaged by a relationship partnerâ?? [bold italic added for effect]. ( Peterson, C. and Seligman, M. E. P. (2004), Character strengths and virtues: a handbook and classification. Oxford, New York. p. 446. ) Forgiveness is an internal, psychological shift a person who feels they were wronged makes for themselves, by themselves. The supposed culprit does not necessarily play any role in the shift that takes place.

Forgiveness is really just an inside job for which we should all apply. Forgiveness is the ability to forgive a bank and its employees for a business or home foreclosure, a corporation for a layoff, or a government for not doing their job of securing our banking and stock trading industries.

Why? Because until you forgive your perceived transgressors you keep yourself stuck in the past and unable to see the possibilities of the present and the future. It is difficult to look for a new job when you are applying from an attitude left over from your last unfavorable experience. It is difficult to want to apply for a loan, or vote, or believe there is anyone on your side. Belief comes not from the specifics of a situation, but from the perspective of the specifics that you carry from the situation.

In the case of my client, he had lost his business. The banks were foreclosing on his inventory and the building his business once called home. Partners had reneged on their offers to lend support. He had no business, no income, lots of kids, and no hope. What he did have was a character strength that naturally supported his ability totransform his perspective of what he was experiencing and free up his brain power to think about what he wanted to create next.

That was done by examining each â??storyâ?? he was telling about who wronged him, why they wronged him, and why he was right and they were wrong. It took time to identify all the transgressors. Each time he was willing to examine his story and edit it so that, at a minimum, he was not a victim but a mere character with a part in a play called his life, he was able allow himself to experience the internal ease of forgiveness. Read that very carefully â??the internal ease of forgiveness.â?? No bank said they were sorry, no employee brought back money they stole, no real estate bottom-fisher had a â??Gordon Geckoâ?? experience and was moved to right their wrongs.

What did happen was he examined his perspective. He edited his story until it was useful and gave him back his sense of power, and then he could move on.

The epilogue to this story is one that helps me get up every morning and continue to do the work I do. I helped this client on the front end of this process, taking the initial criticism and not backing down on my belief in forgiveness as a key business strength. I worked through a few of his stories with him. He then went off to rebuild his life, checking in from time to time to let me know what he was up to. Sometimes it was a good report. Sometimes it was a bad report. We never spoke of his strengths for 5 years.

Recently when having lunch about a business opportunity I wanted him to know I was involved with, he stopped me mid-sentence. He said, â??Remember when you told me forgiveness was really a strength that would help me? Well, I see now how I was able to move faster and not let myself stay stuck. I donâ??t think I could have done that if I was still holding grudges about what I thought those people did to me.â??

If you want to learn the whys of forgiveness and how it can help you build a better life for yourself, I suggest three books.

Forgive for Good by Fred Luskin; The Forgiveness Solution by Philip H. Friedman; The Easiest Way to Live by Mabel Katz.

These books look at the value of forgiveness from the academic, the appliedand cellular perspective. As with all development, start with where you are comfortable, and grow from there.

When all else fails start by saying â??thank youâ??. Works a bit like smiling through a tough situation. You are saying thank you for whatever opportunity this situation is bringing for you to learn.

Forgiveness is a habit. Forgiveness is a choice. When you chose to make forgiveness a habit you will unlock the key to your life success.

Failure is something we all face in our lives. I’ve sure had my share. I remember in the mid-1990s, I had worked myself all the way from a sales person to Marketing Director to COO of a thriving company – only to discover that I really did not like that position. So I did something radical. I decided to quit this very secure job and start my own advertising based business. It was an original idea in an industry I was very familiar with – a business magazine mailed to local business owners around my community. A great idea plus my hard work ethic – I was sure would work.

Both my wife and I put everything we had, financially and emotionally into this idea. It was very exciting to see how fast we acquired our first (and last) 30 clients! Within a couple months we had a real magazine! Clients were getting fantastic results. There was only one small problem…though clients were excited about the return they were getting (one even said it was “the only advertising that ever worked”), some still had financial problems and couldn’t continue on a consistent basis. Bottom line – we eventually ran out of money. Then, on top of having to close down the magazine, we even had to hawk our 8 year old cars just to pay postage for the last mailing!!

I was devastated…my dream had died. I remember how depressed I was. I gave it my all and it was not enough. I had no job, no money, and worst of all – a seriously damaged sense of confidence.

Maybe, that’s where you are now.

I had only questions…no answers. I asked God the usual questions …why? Why me? How could you allow me to be so humiliated? Why did you let this happen?

It took another 2 months for me to hit the real bottom when I had to raid our earthquake kid preparedness kit for quarters…we were that broke. Until then, I was still holding on to a few shreds of pride. I didn’t want to let them go, believing that somewhere within myself I could “make it happen.” Once that last fingernail on the cliff ripped and I totally let go, something amazing happened. Some of our friends from church prayed for me and I got to the point where I said…”Lord, you are my provider…You are my lord…in You I trust. Whatever you want to do with me is fine.” It wasn’t like I didn’t pray before…I did…a lot. But there is a big difference when you finally completely let go and repent of all anger, forgiveness, resentment, pride, etc.

A week later, totally out of the blue and not because of anything I did, I received a call from a stranger offering me the best job I’d ever had. An old friend who I hadn’t talked with in ears referred me. It was nothing short of a miracle…just the way it happened…it was eerie.

Looking back, I realized that I just had gotten ahead of God…like I do sometime. Lesson – it’s wise to seek God’s direction and wait on the Lord!

I hope my story has given you hope and some direction. It’s never wrong to seek God, before and or after failure. He is always ready to respond. Frankly, I don’t know how people cope without God…I guess that’s why people do drugs, take pills or drink alcohol. There is no doubt in my mind that God is the better choice…he brings true and lasting healing and recovery from failure to success.

If you are looking for success making money online, like all of the major internet marketing campaigns say you can do, then this step by step article is for you.

Making money online can be a reality if you obtain the proper knowledge and take the correct approach. Internet marketing is pushed as an easy method to make money online, but to a new internet marketer the actual process can seem impossible. This is not the case however, internet marketing can be very straight forward and just by learning some fundamentals and by using best practices you can become a success. There are literally thousands of people like yourself who have tried internet marketing and have succeeded in starting their own online business. You can accomplish this too just by following simple steps to success making money online.

Internet marketing is still a young industry, and even though it is growing everyday there is still room to carve out your own piece of the profits. Choosing your area of focus or niche is the key to success making money online with niche marketing. Niche Marketing is basically affiliate marketing with a very specific topic focus. This topic would consist of a specific type of products or services being marketed to your customers and the keywords for that niche would be your driving force in your niche marketing campaign.

Steps to Success Making Money Online with Niche Marketing

1. Choose your Niche!

Choose something you have interest in to start your research. It is always easier to work with a subject you are comfortable with and have an affinity for. Use online resources to find products and services that are selling well in your niche. There are several affiliate marketing site lists available for free on the web. Just search on Affiliate Marketing Programs. Amazon is a great source as well for any physical products. You will also want to find products to market on your site from within your niche. Either from the affiliate marketing source you were using as reference to choose your niche or one of the other affiliate sites on the web. (Clickbank.com, Amazon.com, etc.) Or create/market your own products. There are many tools available for creating eProducts like eBooks, training videos and the like.

2. Build a search engine optimized (SEO) web page.

What keywords best fit your niche? Find about 10 keyword phrases that strongly represent your niche. The trick here is to find high search volume keywords with low competition. Google’s own keyword tool is probably the best resource for this.

Use your chosen keywords to select a domain name that contains one or more of your best keywords to take advantage of the search engine optimization for your niche.

Secure cheap web hosting at one of the many available online (hostgator.com, godaddy.com, etc.) and set up a web page. Many times your hosting provider will have templates you can use or you can search the web to find free templates. Concentrate on maximizing your use of your best keywords on your main page and in the meta tags of the individual pages included in the site.

3. Market your site and List Build

Write articles around each of the keywords to be submitted to the major article sites around the web. (ezinearticles.com, articlebase.com, goarticles.com, etc.)

Submit your articles to the article sites mentioned above. Make sure to have your website linked in your “About the Author” section, most of the services have this. Be sure to leverage your keywords in the text as well as in the category for the article.

List Building: Now that your hooked into the search engines and have a presence on the article sharing sites, set up an email marketing campaign to use on your website. There are many email marketing (auto responder) services to choose from online. By signing up to an email marketing company such as trafficwave, aweber, or icontact you can start to build a list of your customers or leads and create mail campaigns to keep them coming back for more. Lists are an invaluable resource for internet marketing, and even some will tell you it is absolutely the most valuable resource you have access to. This should be a big part of your internet marketing plan no matter what you are selling or what niche you are in.

If you follow this guide you are well on your way to finding success making money online. Don’t forget to keep marketing your site and promoting it as much as possible, as well as making sure your content is fresh. Great ways to do this are with the web 2.0 social sites like facebook and twitter, as well as online forums and blogs. With internet niche marketing or any other kind of business venture, you get out what you put in. There is no replacement for hard work, even in the virtual world!

As visitor traffic analysis topic is mentioned here, you may think it is the matter of course that the analysis should be done for effectiveness of any SEO Internet Marketing actitivies. All may have agreeed upon this, but not all have done the visitor traffic analysis properly to obtain good results from their SEO internet marketing activities. Three below factors are important to be analyzed for SEO internet marketing campaign to achieve the set goals

First of all, let’s talk about targeted traffic on keywords. Tracking how your keywords are working effectively or not is very important. An SEO expert needs to track if the chosen keywords are attracting the targeted audience. A keyword can appeal targeted or generic traffic, but all the SEO professionals’ goal is to get the targeted audience. Besides analyzing the popularity, competition of the keywords for selection, it is necessary to research and select the keywords that are as best relevant to your services or products as possible. It is very clear that “creative internet marketing” will attract general traffic that needs to get information about creative internet marketing, but “SEO internet marketing” will be more specific; or “travel SEO” will target to the specific audience who is interested in SEO services for hotels.

Furthermore, a successful SEO Internet marketing campaign will brings the qualified traffic. Qualified traffic means targeted traffic that really enhances your conversion rate, and needs our great efforts in sourcing and selecting more precise and well defined keywords, location keywords, ect. A SEO expert must know the demographics and psychographics of the targeted traffic to bring the qualified audience. Let’s take an example, if you are offering SEO internet marketing services to small and medium business clients in Vietnam, keywords such as SEO Vietnam, cheap SEO Vietnam, small business SEO Vietnam, etc can be optimized to your website.

The last but not the least factor is the visitors’ activities analysis. Time on page and especially conversion rate play an important role in a successful SEO internet marketing campaign, so a professional SEO often keeps eyes on visitors’ activities on the specific landing pages. We need to scientifically design the menus, call to action buttons and content on website and landing pages for visitors’ ease to redirect and make decision. If you want turn your targeted visitors to buyers, you should spend time and thoughts on designing logic pages. A contact us, live support or add to cart button should be placed at a convenient position on your services or products landing pages where those who are interested in your services or products can contact and order your services or products. As long as you experience no improvement in their visitors’ activities on or conversion rate from your website/pages, you need to make adjustments or change to the landing page for better conversion rate. Conversion rate is the percentage of total traffic converting into actual sale or leads.

For now we can start a successful SEO internet marketing campaign with the above suggested visitor traffic analysis. Just focus your efforts on analyzing visitor traffic to gain targeted audience, qualified traffic and tracking visitors’ activities to achieve your final goal of high conversion rate for your website. The suggested factors are just in brief, but your practice for specific SEO internet marketing campaign will make perfect.

All products need marketing. However, a few years ago, marketing your products was limited to your state, country or a few countries in the neighborhood. The Internet has changed all that, and Internet Marketing is today seen as a very good way to market your products. There is a learning curve to everything, and the same goes for Internet Marketing.

Internet Marketing is one of the most scalable, conventional and easy to use kind of marketing. Almost any individual or institution can take the advantages of Internet Marketing for their business. But what is the way to market your product or skill on the Internet? What is the success rate of Internet marketing? Can it work for any product? Here are some secrets to Internet Marketing.

# 1: Blogs

Blogs are the superstars of Web 2.0, and web 2.0 is the future of the Internet. It is therefore only right to spend some time and resources into getting your own blog about the product or service that you are offering. One secret of having a very successful blog is the content. Duplicate and plagiarized content is a sacrilege over the Internet, and should be avoided at all costs. Also, ensure that the blogs are not too commercial, and do not hype the product or the service too much. Internet marketing and Web 2.0 work on originality and freshness.

# 2: Non Intrusive

The Internet is the true democracy, and anything plopped onto website visitors will be criticized, ignored and forgotten – in that order. You know that you have to sack your Internet advertising and marketing company the moment they say these words: Pop Ups, Pop Unders, ‘Installed on the User’s Computer’. In fact, try to ensure that none of your Internet advertising concepts intrude or obstruct the Internet user’s experience.

# 3: Non Obtrusive

Never, ever, obstruct the Internet user’s experience. The best example of non obtrusive and non intrusive ads is text ads. Text ads are, in fact, the latest fad in internet marketing and signing up with a good text ad program is one of the many secrets of Internet Marketing success.

# 4: No Spam

The most important factor of Internet marketing is the right of the Internet and website users to decide whether they wish to view the Internet marketing advertisements. E-Mail marketing is an important part of Internet Marketing. One secret of E-Mail marketing is to send e-mails only to people who have opted for e-mails from you and your e-mail address.

# 5: Article Marketing

With the advent of Web 2.0, Article Marketing has come up as a very good option over traditional and traditional Internet marketing. Article marketing means you hire good writers, who specialize in writing for the Internet, and then upload their articles, with a link to your website, over the Article Marketing directories. Most of the Article Marketing websites offer free space for articles, and if you can write yourself, article marketing comes up as a way to advertise your products over the Internet.
